How to Cancel Your Flagship Carwash Membership (Online Form, Portal or Phone)
Mr Wash, the express car wash with 11 locations in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware, isn’t Mister Car Wash, and the two cancel differently. Cancel a Mr Wash Unlimited plan with the Cancel Plan button in the Mr Wash Customer Portal, by emailing customerservice@mrwash.com, or at a Mr Wash location. Get your request in at least 7 days before the plan renews, and keep a screenshot or the email reply.[1]
Mr Wash vs Mister Car Wash: two different companies
The names are close, but the memberships, terms and contact details are separate. Canceling with one company does nothing to a plan with the other, and Mister Car Wash’s phone number can’t cancel a Mr Wash plan.[2]

How to cancel Mr Wash online (Customer Portal)
What you need first
Have the phone or email address on your membership. The portal signs you in with a code sent to your phone, or you can choose to continue with email.
Steps
- Select Member Login or Cancel Membership on mrwash.com, or open the Customer Portal directly.
- Select Sign in on the portal’s welcome page.
- Enter your phone number and select Send Code, or pick Email under “Or continue with”, then enter the code you receive.
- Select the Cancel Plan button and finish the cancellation, then take a screenshot of the final screen.
Cancel at least 7 days before renewal
Your request has to arrive 7 days before the renewal date to stop the next payment.
Each car has its own Mr Wash membership, so repeat the cancellation for every vehicle you want to stop.
Cancel Mr Wash by email (there’s no phone line)
Mr Wash doesn’t list a customer service phone number. Email customerservice@mrwash.com and ask to cancel, with your name, the phone number on the account and your license plate.
Customer service works Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, so send the email a few business days before the 7-day cutoff and keep the reply.[1]

You can also cancel in person at any Mr Wash. The Mr Wash locations page lists each site’s address and hours.
Mr Wash cancellation notice: 7 days before renewal
The membership renews automatically on the payment date shown on your receipt. Mr Wash’s FAQ asks for cancellations 7 days before that date, while its membership terms, updated October 13, 2026, only say to cancel before the plan renews. Going by the 7 days covers both.[1][3]
After you cancel, you can keep washing until the end of the billing period you’ve paid for. Payments aren’t refunded, and there are no credits for a partly used period.[3]
Example: if your receipt shows a renewal on the 20th, cancel by the 13th. You keep washing until the 20th, and the plan doesn’t renew.
New car or new plates on your Mr Wash plan?
A Mr Wash plan is tied to one registered vehicle, and moving it to another car or person isn’t allowed. If you’re replacing the car, cancel the old plan and start a new one for the new vehicle.[3]
If only your plate changes, tell Mr Wash, since the membership runs on your license plate. You can change the plate no more than twice in a calendar year.
Mr Wash price going up? You can cancel first
Price or plan changes apply no earlier than 30 days after Mr Wash gives notice, and you can cancel before the change takes effect. Use that window if the new price doesn’t suit you.[3]
Mr Wash cancellation FAQs
I paid for a year. Do I get money back if I cancel?
Don’t count on it. Mr Wash sells quarterly and yearly plans, and payments aren’t refunded or credited for partly used periods, except as required by law. Canceling stops the next renewal.
Is there a fee to cancel Mr Wash?
Mr Wash’s terms list no cancellation fee. There’s no long-term contract, so you can cancel or switch plans whenever you need to.
Can I pause my Mr Wash membership?
