How to Cancel Your LUV Car Wash Membership (Online, Email, Text or Phone)

Cancel at least two days before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next month. The membership renews automatically and keeps running until you cancel it.
Canceling doesn’t cut off your washes right away: the membership stays active through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. El Car Wash doesn’t refund partially used or unused periods, so there’s no money back for the days that are left.[2]
Example: if your membership bills on the 15th, cancel by the 13th at the latest. You can keep using your plan until the 15th, and no new charge should follow.

How to cancel El Car Wash online (Member Login portal)
El Car Wash’s own pages don’t agree on this route. The FAQ says you can cancel through the customer portal at any time, while the Manage Membership page says the self-service portal is still being developed and that the support team handles changes for now.[2][3]
The terms also point to a “Memberships” tab that the website no longer shows. Use Member Login at the top of elcarwash.com or Manage Membership in the footer instead, and switch to phone or email if the portal won’t let you finish.[1][3]
What you need first
Have the phone that’s on your account with you. The portal’s sign-in screen asks for your phone number and then a 6-digit code sent to it. The FAQ adds that most members can also get in with their email address or license plate.[2][4]
Steps
- Open the Member Login portal, enter your phone number and select Continue.
- Type the 6-digit code from your text messages and select Verify.
- Under Manage Your Membership, select Cancel Membership. If you have more than one car on the account, check Manage Additional Memberships for the others.
- When the portal asks “Are you sure you want to cancel your plan?”, select Confirm Cancel and take a screenshot of the final screen.
Finish at least 2 days before billing
A cancellation after that point leaves next month’s charge in place.[1]
These labels come from the portal’s sign-in and membership screens, and the wording you see after signing in may differ slightly.
Cancel El Car Wash by phone or email
Call member support at (866) 305-4329, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 8 PM or Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM. It’s the toll-free line listed for cancellations.[1][3]
To cancel in writing, email support@elcarwash.com and ask for your membership to be canceled. Include the name, phone number and license plate on the account, and send it at least three days before billing, since support aims to reply within 24 hours.[1][3]
Whichever method you use, ask for a written confirmation and keep it.
You may also see (305) 603-9565 on the Contact Us page, but it has no listed hours, so the member support line is the better choice for a cancellation.[5]
Cancel at an El Car Wash location
You can also ask an associate at any El Car Wash to cancel your membership. Find the nearest one with the El Car Wash location finder, and ask the associate for a receipt or email that shows the cancellation.[1][7]

Each membership covers one vehicle, but you don’t have to cancel when you change cars. El Car Wash lets you move the membership to your new car at any location or by emailing support@elcarwash.com.[2][6]
Only one plate change is allowed in each 6-month period. If you’ve already switched plates recently, ask support how it handles a second change before you sell or trade in the car.[2]
Can you pause an El Car Wash membership instead?
El Car Wash’s portal offers a pause option (Pause Membership and Resume Membership), but it doesn’t publish how long a pause lasts or whether it costs anything. Ask support at (866) 305-4329 before relying on it, and cancel if you won’t use the plan again.[3][4]
Still charged after canceling El Car Wash?
Members’ complaints to the BBB center on charges that continued after they say they canceled, double charges, and memberships they say they never signed up for. As of October 25, 2026, the BBB profile showed 28 complaints in three years, and the recent membership complaints had no company reply.[8]
If a charge appears after you canceled, email support@elcarwash.com with the date you canceled and your screenshot or confirmation. If that doesn’t resolve it, contact the bank or card issuer that was charged and ask about a dispute.[3]
