While “No Commitment” does not have any buyout fee but a member with minimum term is required to pay $58 early cancellation fee. Apart from that all members are charged $50 yearly fees if they fail to cancel within 2 calendar months after your sign date.
Example: If you signed up in FEB yours will need to pay $58 annual fee on 1st April 2025.
How to Cancel Planet Fitness Membership

By Filling cancellation form at the front desk
The easiest way to cancel your Planet Fitness membership is to visit your Home Club in person during staffed hours at least seven days before your next billing cycle. Request a cancellation form at the front desk, fill it out, sign it, and submit it.
It is important to review your outstanding payments including dues, annual or early termination fees before canceling to avoid any issues. Also, some locations may require manager approval, so follow up if necessary and request a cancellation receipt to prevent future charges.
For No Commitment Members: If you joined in February 2025, you must submit your cancellation request by March 10 to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. If you miss the notice period, you will be billed for April as well.
By Mailing a Certified Notice
If you cannot visit your Planet Fitness Club in person to cancel, you can send a certified mail (USPS) to your Home Club’s address. Include your full name, phone number, email, membership ID, reason for cancellation and your signature. Planet Fitness will then mail you a cancellation form. Fill it out, sign it, and send it back to complete the process.
We recommend you keep the certified receipt of delivery in case you need to dispute collections. As, sometimes the staffs ignores or forgets to check your written notice. You can call and show them proof of certified mail by providing Tracking Nuber.
